Vintage Inspired

I love to find these gorgeous vintage needle points, their great to put on purses and pillows.
These 2 vintage pieces came from an antique store, a lady that knows that I make purses had saved them for me, boy was I excited!!!
This vintage material inspires me when making purses and pillow! I just love all of the beautiful colors and textures!
I love decorating these old bottles with vintage material, vintage earrings, lace and crochet pieces! Some of these I had purchased from other people, the one's with the materials, jewelry, and crochet pieces are mine!
And you know I love making purses from vintage material and vintage brooches!!!
I love finding these vintage tapastries to put on my purses and pillows, but I can only cut them up for purses if they already have some damage. I love beautiful tapastries and won't cut them if their in good shape!

I'm always inspired by these lovely vintage brooches when I find them to put on bags and pillow!

Lace is also another big inspiration in my designs, I just love it, and think it's beautiful on just about anything!

I found these vintage gloves at an estate sale and thought they would be great to put on this sweet pillow!
Hope you enjoyed my vintage inspirations and my pinks today! I'm joining up with Debra http://commonground-debrasvintagedesigns.blogspot.com/2010/11/vintage-inspiration-friday-10-finding.html for Vintage Inspirational Friday, and Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.

Hello Daphne... what a dreamy post! I love all of your vintage tresors... I have quite a few pieces of needlepoint and crewel work that my mama did, and when she passed away I inherited them... I miss her, and they make me feel very close to her... love vintage rhinestone jewelry and lace as well... your creations are all just stunning!... xoxo Julie Marie

Yes I totally agree that being surrounded by the beauty we repurpose into our Art forms is one of the greatest inspirations. I am in 7th Heaven when surrounded by my Vintage Fabrics and Antique Bling too and the creative juices just start flowing! Your creations are always so lovely and the sumptuous materials you use are my favorites too.

Hi Daphne, I love your vintage everything. Your handbags are so pretty. I think the way you displayed the gloves is so pretty and clever. You are a handbag artist.
Warm hugs, Jeanne

I don't know that I have ever visited you before today. I came in to wish you a very Happy Pink Saturday. I am afraid I have been lingering for quite some time now, it's all so beautiful in here. Your jewelry and handbags are over the top gorgeous and I love all the colors. Your bags come with a history that can't be told, but lets the imagination run wild. It's all so magical, Char

Those textiles are beautiful. I have a pretty fall colored needlepoint just like that. I always planned on making a purse. I have all of my pieces and parts, just haven't "gotten around to it". The story of my life!

Happy Belated Pink Saturday,
Judy
