Bold Color or Neutral

Do you love color?

I was going through my magazines and found all of these lovely rooms full of beautiful colors!
I'm finding myself liking all of these bold beautiful colors, even though I would not do it in my home! I'm more of a white, creamy white, kinda girl. I'm sticking with the neutrals.

I had to add this photo because it reminded me of Fall with the orange colors, and oh how I'm longing for Fall and some cooler weather!
I'm loving the blue!

And of course I love pink!
Now these are more for me, love the neutrals!
It's amazing how much my taste changes all the time. I'm finding myself more and more liking modern furniture "NEVER LIKED MODERN BEFORE AT ALL." I love the settee in this picture and love the clean lines it has. Although my first love is antiques. I would like to mix a modern settee such as this one and maybe a modern lamp with antiques. I love the look of mixing the two up! However I wouldn't want much modern just touches of it!
I'm just finding that I need more simplicity in my life now. I will be doing a lot of decorating in my home soon. I have so many likes that it's hard for me to go with a certain style. I can't decide between French Farmhouse or a Elegant French look with touches of modern, and of course what ever I decide get ready to see lots of whites and neutrals! I know in a recent post I was going to go with the French Farmhouse look, maybe I should go with that and I can always change it up a bit later!
Love the color of these walls.
I have even gone for a more clean line look on my blog. I got in touch with Karen @ http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com/ and told her what I was wanting and she had it done for me very quickly and I love it, thanks Karen! Karen's button is also on my sidebar. If you ever need a new blog look Karen is wonderful to work with, so be sure to go by and check out some of her designs!

Hope you enjoyed the Bold & Beautiful & neutrals this morning! Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed week!!!

Wow...those places are amazing! I love, love, love the color. I like that the one picture used blue cupcakes as decorations (although they would not last long enough to be decorations with me)! I hope all is well and I will see you in Canton next time.

I have always loved soft feminine colors, but sometimes bold colors are just too fun to never use!
I usually satisfy my desire for color through my wardrobe-it's not quite as permanent.

Hope you have a joyous week!

I like the neutral too, but that's what makes a little color pop out. Your pictures were so fun to look at. I haven't had time lately to really enjoy blogging or looking at magazines. Too many end of the summer things to do and trying to have the barn open as much as I can while the weather permits. Your post was a great look at what I can begin to enjoy again soon.

No, I didn't like any of those wild colors. Scrolled down. Ahhhh, felt at home! I loved that neutral bedroom with the canopy bed! My own bedroom is creams and gold with touches of pink and yellow. Looking forward to see what you come up with for your home. Love, Linda

Yes, the battle in my head between bold and neutral wages on... *winks* I'm more inclined to bold Boheme' Styling, but there is something very soothing and inviting about the neutral palettes and I do admire them in other people's homes, especially Sepia toned Styling. I'm thinking that if I EVER get around to restoring and redecorating one of my back Cottages that is presently being used for storage, perhaps I'll do an all Sepia Styling there and see how it goes, since I won't be living there, but could spend Studio time there??? Might work...

G'day sweetie ~
Karen did a beautiful job on your page. So love the bright & bold but favor the neutrals moreso, tho anything with pink is in my book, fabulous.

Have a beautiful weekend ~

Happy Saturday, Daphne!
Oooo, all of these homes, saturated in color, are so lovely! While I love a little vibrant hue in my life, I prefer to surround myself in softness. Our nest is painted in soft, earth-tones of greens. I use a bit of red for color along with plenty of browns and cut antique crystal for color and brightness. While there is definitely "color" it is one of naturalness. Very relaxing. I very much admire those who go all out with the brush of boldness ... but then, I believe that stroke of genius reflects their outgoing personality. Isn't that the wonderful thing about our personalities, that our homes reflect so much of who we are? For they are windows into our souls ...

I love color and neutrals. So I guess I love it all. That white bedroom is to die for and I do like the neutral living room too. But I know if it were mine some color would start popping up around the room. :0)
