We just got back from a wonderful much needed vacation, we left last Sunday and returned Thursday night. My husband and I, and some of our close friends flew to Charleston SC, and my friend Donna and I also drove to Savannah Georgia one of the days we were there..... and I have to tell you I had the pleasure of seeing some of the most beautiful homes ever, they were so GORGEOUS.... so I thought I would share some of them with you! I'll be showing more soon, I took so many pictures it will take me a while to show them all. I'm linking up with sweet Debra @
http://commonground-debrasvintagedesigns.blogspot.com/be sure to go by and visit her and all the other participants for some vintage inspiration!
This was one of my favorite homes in Charleston, unfortunately it wasn't one of the homes that was on the home tour list! We did get to tour 3 of the homes, which is one of my favorite things to do. The porches on this home were just breathtaking!
I have never seen so many beautiful historical homes as I did in Charleston and Savannah. I'll show the homes and the most beautiful church I've ever seen in Savannah, a little later!
There were so many beautiful churches there, we did tour the inside of this church but didn't take pictures inside!
This is a front view of the church... there were carriage rides everywhere.... and the weather was just gorgeous while we were there!
The next picture are of some of the downtown buildings, most all of them are being used, their beautiful and have such gorgeous architectural element to them! Charleston has some of the best eating places too, my friend Donna had planned where we were to eat every night, all I can say is she did her homework, it was all fabulous, Now I for sure have to go on a diet!
These were a few of the gardens spaces that we seen! I have more to show a little later.
This was my favorite!
This is my sweet hubby... the day we were getting ready to leave!
Hubby again... this was the place we stayed it was also so beautiful, I recommend it highly if you ever go to Charleston, it's called the Mill House Hotel. The only thing I didn't like about the trip, we flew there, and I am a big chicken when it comes to flying, of course I was the only one in the group that didn't like to fly, it didn't bother the others at all, my husband says it's the safest way to go. I was quite nervous on the way down and on the way home, but I'm sure I will fly again because there are some places that I still want to visit, and won't go unless I fly , because there just to far, and those places are California, New York, and France.... maybe one of these days. Well now it's time for me to start unpacking and washing clothes "ugh"... hope you enjoy the tour!
