Great Places at Canton

I wanted to share with you some wonderful places to shop at Canton. This is the Girls Gone Junkin's new space. It's location is Row 46- Across From the Porch. You have to check out thier space if your ever in Canton, they do a beautiful job decorating, it's always gorgeous. They specialize in Shabby Chic, and they always have lots of pretty jewelry with lots of bling. That's
Deidra and Sue behind the check out holding things down, I'll just bet that Cathy is out doing a little shopping.

This is several different booths at the Porch. At the Porch you can find so many different things , we have Antique furniture, Shabby Chic, collectibles, new and vintage Jewelry, beautiful hand made Crosses, gorgeous flower arrangments, vintage purses, and pillows linens, and so much more.

This is the booth of James and Kathy Thias, Unique and Sublime, they are located in Arbor 3 booth 328 & 329. These 2 are very talented, they do shabby chic, vintage pieces, vintage windows, ceiling tile shelves, hand painted signs, and mantel pieces. They also do custom work, Kathy is always painting while she's in the booth. I've bought 4 of thier beautiful shadow boxes, I will post them a little later. These shadow boxes that Kathy makes are just gorgeous, she uses vintage windows, vintage lady's collars vintage hand bags , vintage clothing, crochet and lace, and she makes flowers that she ages and also uses in her shadow boxes. I just can't say enough about the beauty these 2 create.

I got to stay with her a little while today, I enjoyed it so much, just to sit
and hold her, she's so precious! I'm glad that they live near by, so
I'll have plenty of time to spoil her.

Warrenton / Round Top trip

I had a whirlwind trip to Warrenton yesterday. I had planned on leaving about 7 am and it was more like 10:45 before I headed that way. I got to visit with a few friends , and I bought a little bit, but did'nt get much, as I was in such a rush for time. However I do plan on going back next week when the Marburger Farm Antique show starts. I always love going there, it's always a wonderful show, with great dealers and lovely treasure's to be found. Here are a few pictures I took yesterday!

These are picture's from Becky Cavel's space
she's set up at the Texas Rose show across
from Marburger Farm. She has the cuttest
little cottage, and just full of victorian and
shabby chic treasures. Becky over see's
things at The Porch at Canton Trade Days,
where you can find me every First Monday!

This is Maggie and Lilly's booth
at Zapp Hall. I only got a few
pictures, because there were
some serious buyers, buying and
carring things out, so I though I
best get out of the way!

This is Mindy's booth at Zapp Hall.
It's just full of unique treasures! She
did a wonderful job decorating this
space!

My new line of Purses

I'm so excited about my new line of purses. I've never seen any like them anywhere before. They are made with vintage lace, linen's, burlap, cotton fab, and needlepoints. I've been doing pillows with these materials for a while, and have seen other pillows out of the same things, just haven't seen purses with these embellishments, so I thought about how cute it would be to make some purses from these materials. I have shown a few of my pillows they are listed first , I only had time to list a couple of my new bags. I will be listing more in a few days.

These are some of my vintage and western purses. They are out of my personal collection (some I just could'nt part with). I've been making these bags for about 4 years now. When I started making these purses I had seen vintage bags, but never had seen the cowhide mixed with the vintage fabric, and thought how beautiful it would look to mix the two together. I also really loved the fact that I had never seen this done on any other bags before. I really loved the vintage fabric, but I wanted to have my own look and style. I hope that I have accomplished that with these purses. The first two I have posted are just vintage , and the rest are vintage and western.

What a surprise

I bought a few things from my friend Laurie, from Laurieanna's Vintage Home, at her Serendipity Market a few weeks ago. I just got around to taking my goodies out of the bag this morning. I had been wondering what I could use this burlap for, I really didn't have any ideals. I just knew I loved it and would find use for it somewhere, and boy was I surprised when I relized that the burlap fits perfect on my kitchen windows, the only problem now is I have to buy 3 more of them.
The burlap will work perfect for the new look I'm going for in my kitchen, although it will be awhile before I redo the entire kitchen, there is just not enough time in my busy schedule for a kitchen makeover, I'm trying to find some balance. Hopefully it won't have to wait to long.

I love these botanical prints. I haven't decided where to put them yet, but I'm sure I'll find a place for them soon.

I also bought these cute little burlap bags from Patina Green , they had a booth set up at Laurieanna's on the porch. I love these little bags you could do so many different things with them, you could just put a simple flower in each of them, are you can dress them up a bit. This is how I dressed mine up, with flowers, lace, brooches, old photo's, they would also be fun for the Holidays to put your favorite things in and display them.
