I just recently found this wonderful farmhouse cabinet for the living area. Just what I've wanted in this space.
I'm going for a elegant french farmhouse look in this home. I think the beautiful glass pieces adds a touch of elegance to the room. I love the large tapastry but what I'm really wanting above the farm cabinet is a really large french mirror. I think every room needs a mirror. I would love to hear your thoughts..... tapastry or french mirror.
This is one of my favorite pieces in the house. The perfect place to house some of my cherub collection.
I've had this potting bench for years and had never used it. It works great to house my many little pots. I still have some work to do and changes to make here. I have gotten a lot done in the lake house but still have a few more projects to do and will show before and after pictures as soon as I get the time to tackle them. Love that potting bench, Daphne! Those scallops on it are great. I like the tapestry over your buffet, but think you could go either way {mirror or tapestry}. What would a mirror be reflecting? Sometimes that's a good way to help decide which way to go.

Yes, a mirror would add more light and hopefully reflect something pretty, but I adore that tapestry, so make sure to use it somewhere and let us see! Your house is wonderful!

ReplyDeleteI love the pieces you are adding to the lakehouse Daphne! That buffet is such a great piece. I love the tapestry over it, but a mirror would lighten the space, so either one is great. You have such a great eye, so I know whatever you do it will be perfect! I LOVE your beautiful mantle and the cherubs that adorn it. I love anything angel and cherub so of course this caught my eye : )

I would pick the mirrors. Mirrors tend to give the room a larger appearance and they are gorgeous. Now the tapestry is great but just not having the impact you seem to want. It is great that you are finally getting use of your potting bench.

It is time we started fighting for true equality as opposed to one of the false notions of it put forth by the intellectually dishonest.
The tapestry is awesome however I also love French mirrors so that's a difficult choice! What a blessing to have a lake house and dress it up with gorgeous things. I can hardly wait to see more of what you do there.
