I'm so loving everything about weddings these days. I've had quite a few request for ring pillows for that special day, and also request from ladies that are wanting that one of a kind purse. With this in mind I decided to add a new category to my online boutique..... WEDDING. There you can find wedding purses, ring pillows, clutches & gloves, hair pieces, and accessories for decorating. We still have a lot of stocking to do, being that it is a new category and all, but hope to have everything up soon.

This makes a great wedding purse, but would also be great for any occasion.

Spring Collection

It's been a while since my last blog post. We've had a lot going on, some good, some bad. I've been spending a lot of time with my sweet little granddaughter while her mother is working at our business for a few weeks in the office to help get some things caught up. I love keeping her, we have so much fun together, but she does want all of my attention, so it has been impossible for me to blog or even keep my website updated. Hoping to get some new things on next week. It's all been good though, they grow up so fast and I love spending time with her.
More good news we closed on our weekend home on Valentines Day, and we will spend our first weekend there starting this evening. We have already moved a lot of things there, but still have more to do. It's been so much fun decorating. I'll have pictures soon.

This is my little granddaughter. One thing we've done together lately is go antique shopping. Yes I'm trying to teach her early. She does seem to enjoy it.
I had no ideal that lightning could bust water pipes under your house.

Spring Goodies

Spring is just around the corner. "I think", it's hard to imagine because it's so cold here today!

Here are a few of the things I will be adding to my online boutique soon.
This jacket will be perfect to wear during the Spring and Summer months.

This dress/top can be worn all year around. You could wear it as it is for summer and in the Winter just dress it up with layers. We will be adding these items soon and look for many more new romantic apparel pieces coming next month. Have a great day!

Beautiful Entry Ways and Our New Home

I just love beautiful entry ways, it's the first impression you get when you walk into a home.

I'm loving the creamy white walls in this entrance with the mixture of the dark woods.
This is just stunning.
I always love the brick mixed in.
Again loving the white walls with the dark colors.
I had to add a gray entrance as I'm really loving the color gray these days.
Now for my favorite entry way, this is our new weekend home we purchased a few weeks ago. We will be closing on it around the 30th of this month, and we are so excited. This entry way is what sold it for me. I love it. I love how they mixed the stone and brick. I can't wait to start decorating. There will be lots of post as I'm decorating it. Hopefully it want take me as long as it has with my kitchen. The hold up on the kitchen has been finding the right chandelier, but I think I may have the one I want now. Kitchen Inspiration

I'm loving these kitchens!

What's not to love about this kitchen, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm loving the cream colors mixed with the dark wood, but it would be just a gorgeous with the island painted a beautiful cream color also. Don't you think? Love the beautiful chandelier hanging over the island too.
Just look at the French details in the lovely kitchen. This kitchen is wonderful with it's gorgeous cream color island and then it has that rustic feel with the brick and wood beams. I love the mixture of the two.
I'm loving the clean lines of this kitchen, the beautiful whites with the stainless steel is another gorgeous feature. I always love the ceilings with the beams, I think the beams would also look great painted white. I have showed a peek of my kitchen redo with you several months ago, hopefully I will be showing the entire kitchen soon. Christmas kinda put a stop to me finishing the last details of the kitchen. The only things I like is getting my chandelier up, curtains, and covering the chairs. I hope you loved these kitchen inspirations as much as I did.

Prayer Request

I wanted to ask for your prayers for my sweet little dog Abbie! It was such a nice day this past Saturday, I was at home and excited about having a little time to do housework, add things to my website and things like that when all the sudden I heard my sweet little Abbie crying, so I ran as fast as I could to her. She was holding her little paw up like something had stung her, first thing I thought..... it was a scorpion, and it had stung her. We have had problems with scorpions before and have to have the house sprayed for them several times a year. Well after me holding her for about 30 min. I put her down and she couldn't stand up, her little legs were not working. I then held her for about an hour and put her down again..... again she could not stand up. Abbie is 14 years old now and she has had back surgery before, it's probably been about 7 years ago, and she had done really well after the surgery until lately I've been noticing her back leg kinda slipping when she would be eating, but she still was getting around very well. After taking her to the vet he confirmed that it was her back and there was nothing he could do for her. Of course I started crying again, that's all I could do all day, I pretty much new it was her back. He said he could give her a shot for inflammation and send something home to help her sleep. Well I started home with her and when I got home with her my husband was back, he had been out of town for the day. I went out of the room for a few minutes and my husband called me back and said she's walking now. All I can say is that prayers were answered. Abbie is still walking, but I wanted to ask for your prayers for her, that her back will get stronger and that she will continue to walk, and have a good quality of life. Abbie being 14 years old I'm not sure that they would even do back surgery on her. I am going to make her an appointment at A&M to let them check her out, that's were she had her back surgery before, they took such good care of her there. This is my little baby girl Abbie in the picture below. For some reason I'm not able to write under the picture, don't know what the problem is. I would greatly appreciate your prayers

New Items

Here is just a few of the new things that have been keeping me super busy lately!

This is one of our new clutch bags. I'll be making more of these, and also making some this same size and shape with a handle on them for the ladies that like handles such as myself!

It's still really hectic around here, but not quite as bad as it has been recently. I still have little details to finish in the kitchen, and will start stocking my website with new items which I will be doing for the next few days. Update on Kitchen

I wanted to take a minutes to update you with a few sneek peeks of our kitchen redo. It's still really hectic around here, between trying to get purse orders out to my customers, making things to take to Laurie's store for the Canton show, my kitchen redo, and I also have decided to do some major decluttering. I've been very stressed lately..... so I haven't been by to visit much lately but have really missed everyone. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I say normal, it's really never normal here as I stay really busy, but I know as the kitchen is almost finished, and I have got out a lot of my orders out it will be much better. So here are a few pictures and I will be showing a lot more as soon as I get the last details finished.

This is what our cabinets and counter tops looked like before. The guys have already tore out the back of this which had the same green formica on it as the counter top. What was I thinking when we built our home. I really never liked those counter tops or the color of the cabinets. I might also add what was I thinking when I picked that wall paper. At the time I thought it was wonderful, not the case anymore.

This is the new color of our cabinets. I had to add the french details here, and I just love it!
Daniel painted our cabinets out white and then went over them with a glaze to get this look.

After..... I'm really pleased with the way the painted walls turned out. It was a bit scary at first as they were not looking at all the way that I wanted, but after working with Daniel only a few minutes he figure out how it needed to be painted.
This is Daniel and he is super talented, he can do just about anything. He has a florist shop, he knows all about air conditioners, he remodels homes, he even use to decorate Christmas trees and put up Christmas lights for people. We had him buy and decorate our Christmas tree one year and he did a beautiful job, but by the time we had him do ours he was already getting a little burned out with that job so we only were able to use him for a couple of years. Now I just get my small tree down. The one that Daniel decorated for us was so huge and very tall, I just don't have the energy or the time anymore to decorate something like that. Speaking about his florist shop Daniel can fix the most beautiful bouquet of flowers you have ever seen, again this guy is super talented.
Back to the redo..... this is a few of our new stainless appliances. I just love them!!!

This is my favorite thing all... the Limestone top for the island. There is also a peek at the new stove top. When they put the Limestone on the island I didn't want to cut it to put the stove top in because it was so beautiful, we actually looked for another place to put the stove top but couldn't find a better place so the limestone was cut to put the stove top in and the stove looks great there, so all is well.
The rest of the pictures for today is just the guys working.

This is the worst part of all of this, the dreaded mess. I can't stand for my house to be torn apart and in such a mess, just look at my concrete floors, but the guys assured me that they would get all the paint off the floors. You wouldn't believe how much stuff I had in my kitchen that had to be taken out, (YES I AM A HORDER) but hopefully not for long, by the time everything was out of the kitchen my whole house was a mess, as I had stuff every where. I will tell you though not much is coming back in, yes I'm decluttering my house. I will have a lot more pictures to share with you of the entire redo later on. I'm still looking for one of my antique chandeliers that I wanted to use over my kitchen table, but haven't been able to find it yet, it's lost somewhere in my storage building I'm sure. I'm also going to get a different table out of my storage building to put in the kitchen, still have to put up the curtains, just small details left. I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted, but it's still so hectic around here. Sorry I haven't been around to visit much lately. The Fall season is really busy for me, as there are orders to get out, new items to get ready for my website, and getting things ready for Laurie's store at Canton which is coming up really soon. On top of all of that I've been taking everything out of my kitchen where the guys could start on my kitchen redo..... which started this morning, I'll have more on that soon!

It's time.... actually it's pass time for giveaway #2, on our countdown for Christmas Giveaways. So sorry that I'm running late with the giveaway but with Canton last weekend, and we went out of town this past weekend, it put me quite a bit behind. It was a wonderful weekend though, lots of great friends, shopping, wonderful food & wine, dancing under the stars, breakfast in our rooms every morning, just doesn't get much better than that. But now back to reality I have so much to do now that I'm back home, the contractor will be coming soon to start on my kitchen, so that means a lot of work for me.... I will have to pack up a lot of things and get out of the kitchen, I also have things to add to my website, new things to make in my studio, and all of the other daily things that go on, and tomorrow is my mine and my husbands 20th anniversary, we had big plans but afraid they will have to be put off for a little while . New Items Ready

We have so much going on trying to get ready for Laurie's Anna's Vintage Home http://laurieannas.blogspot.com/ at Canton, which starts this Thursday. Before I get to the giveaway, I've had quite a few emails inquiring about my romantic apparel, it's been really low of inventory for a while now. Just wanted to let you know that I have been super busy and just haven't had the time to devote to it, but I'm going to try to do better. The Best For Last!

This is a peek inside. It's just full of goodies!
I have to tell you Laurie had already told me that they were putting a little camper inside the store. Well when I got there I'm looking around the shop for it, a little later Laurie ask me if I saw the camper and I told her no, so she took me to it. I was so surprised when she showed it to me because I had in fact saw it but didn't realize that it was a camper. As you can see in the photo, it was decorated so pretty in the Shabby Chic style you wouldn't think of it as being a camper!
Well that's all for now. I have to get back to work as it's getting close to time for another Canton. Where did the month go? I had no ideal it was this close to Canton until I looked at the calender yesterday.... so I'm off to work. I'm so excited about plans for my kitchen redo. The contractor thinks he will be able to start on it next month. I can't hardly wait!
While their working on the kitchen, I'll be looking at new bedding and drapes for all the bedrooms, living room, dinning room, and den! I already have curtains for the kitchen!
I'm having such a hard time deciding on things. I have so many likes that it's so hard for me to make up my mind about what I want! I'm pretty sure that whatever I pick out it has to have some ruffles and lace!

Although this is not a recent find, thought I would share this beauty too, I've had her for several years. I purchased her at an estate sale. I've had her in storage but I think it's time she found a place in our home. I think she's beautiful.

I just love vintage baby shoes..... and found this one made into a pin cushion. Isn't it cute?

I thought this was a cool piece, never seen a juicer quite like this one!
I know I normally show mostly feminine things, but I do love the old boxes, primitives, rusty old iron pieces and the list goes on!

I thought I would share a some of the many pictures I took while at Laurie's this past weekend. It was a great show and so much fun. Being the great show that it was, means I've got to get back to working on more purses and pillows.

I'm loaded and ready to go!

Loaded and ready to go to Canton that is! My small crew and myself have been working for weeks trying to get things ready to take to Laurie Anna's http://laurieannas.blogspot.com/ this month for the Canton show. Laurie told me to bring lot's and lots for the Fall shows, so that's what I'm doing my truck is full, from floor to ceiling. Laurie and Willie have redone the entire store and it's full of new treasures. I will be leaving in a little bit to take my things to the shop and I can't wait to see all of the goodies that she has!

It's been so hot here in Texas, but I've been hearing of a cool down, maybe down to 95 this weekend, I never thought I would be so glad to see it 95 degrees but at this point it sounds pretty good. Hope to see ya at Canton!!!

I wanted to share this new store in Waco, Tx. well it's new to me, they have actually been open since Feb. How did I not know about this, it being only about a 30 min. drive for me.

This is Emily one of the owners. I had the pleasure of visiting with her a little bit while I was there. Emily told me that she has a partner and her name is Lacy, they both have full time jobs and are only open on Sat 10-5 and Sun 12-5. They are located at 2225 La Salle - Waco, Tx. so if your ever in the area be sure to check it out, they have lots of great treasures!!!

Bold Color or Neutral

Do you love color?

I was going through my magazines and found all of these lovely rooms full of beautiful colors!
I'm finding myself liking all of these bold beautiful colors, even though I would not do it in my home! I'm more of a white, creamy white, kinda girl. I'm sticking with the neutrals.

I had to add this photo because it reminded me of Fall with the orange colors, and oh how I'm longing for Fall and some cooler weather!
I'm loving the blue!

And of course I love pink!
Now these are more for me, love the neutrals!
It's amazing how much my taste changes all the time. I'm finding myself more and more liking modern furniture "NEVER LIKED MODERN BEFORE AT ALL." I love the settee in this picture and love the clean lines it has. Although my first love is antiques. I would like to mix a modern settee such as this one and maybe a modern lamp with antiques. I love the look of mixing the two up! However I wouldn't want much modern just touches of it!
I'm just finding that I need more simplicity in my life now. I will be doing a lot of decorating in my home soon. I have so many likes that it's hard for me to go with a certain style. I can't decide between French Farmhouse or a Elegant French look with touches of modern, and of course what ever I decide get ready to see lots of whites and neutrals! I know in a recent post I was going to go with the French Farmhouse look, maybe I should go with that and I can always change it up a bit later!

I have even gone for a more clean line look on my blog. Outdoor Pretties!

I just love this area and the white slipcovers are just gorgeous!
This is the little outdoor shed, it's so cute! The burlap drapes really add to the charm of this sweet little shed!

It's nice to see some greenery, everything around here is so dry and burnt. I think we have broken a record for so many days of the temps being over 100 and no rain! I'm praying that we get some soon!

Beautiful Kitchens!

I find myself loving the color gray a lot these days. I think it's so beautiful in this kitchen. I'm also looking for lots of inspiration since I'm finally going to redo my kitchen. No I'm not one of those do it yourself people, so now I'm just waiting for the contractor to give me some bids, and I'm getting very inpatient. I'm ready to get this started!

I do plan on having touches of gray in my new kitchen!
I will be showing before and after pictures of our redo, as we go through the transformation of our kitchen. I love the ideal of putting marble on my island, and I'm already pretty sure that I want granite counter tops. I don't want it to be all the same, I like mixing different elements together!
Definitely going with all stainless appliances. After the kitchen is all redone I'll be getting my hands into some major decorating in our home, and yes this is where I come in. I do love the decorating part. I'm so ready for a total new look! I had planned to go with an elegant French look and of course everything being white and off whites, still want the whites but thinking for now I might go with a French farmhouse look. What do you think!

I love mixing the leopard print with the vintage material. It has such a rich look to it!
This purse is just dripping with beautiful looped ribbon all over it!

This is one of my newest designs, I've been doing the cowhide and vintage for a long time, but not in this style, and I really love the way it turned out! I love mixing cowhide with the beautiful vintage fabrics. I started doing these western purses years ago, because I had never seen anything like these before, and I loved the end result. On this one I used a vintage collar across the front, and it added the perfect touch to this purse. It's a look I would like to call all my very own.... for right now anyway!

At Daphne Nicole we do a little bit of everything from the vintage purses, canvas, lace and crochet pieces to the western chic. I'm the same way with materials as I am in decorating, I have many different styles, really too many sometimes it gets overwhelming!

This is one of my favorite pillows. I love the mixture of the fabrics!

We have added new jewelry to our vintage jewelry page. We have 3 categories of jewelry, Sterling Silver, designed by Lynda Cade, vintage Jewelry, and new fun jewelry.

Missing my Booth!

Thought I would share a few pictures from a previous booth I had. This booth was at Spice in Waco, Tx. I moved out of it for several years ago , but I really miss not having a booth, I especially love the decorating part of it!

When I had this booth I also had 3 other booths all in seperate directions, I did end up giving this one up, so now I had 3 places, opened my online store.... still to much , so I ended up giving up all of 3 booths. My online store www.daphnenicole.com , and selling at Laurie Anna's every month keeps me really busy, so don't think I will be getting a booth anytime soon!
Did I mention I was also setting up at Canton every month..... what was I thinking!!!
It's hard sometimes trying to get everything balanced out. I thought I could do it all, but learned that I can't do everything, ( it was wearing me out.) I love having my own on line boutique and love selling at Laurie's beautiful store! I think I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing now!

On to something a little different the picture above and the one's below where taken at Savannah Georgia on our vacation back in April. I saw some really beautiful homes there, but this one was my favorite of all.

I just love the gold trim around all of the windows, it's absolutely gorgeous!!!
This was a store that we passed by, it has the most beautiful architectural elements. I was drooling by this point! I took lots of pictures while we were there, beautiful homes, stores, and churches were around every corner! Hope you enjoyed my rambling's for today!!!

Wishing for Winter

Oh how I'm wishing for cooler weather. I never remember it being this hot before! It's so hot outside that it just zaps any energy that I have. I have to get up really early if I have things to do outside, because by 8 or 9 it's already getting to hot! So thought I would show some of my snow pictures from last year! Oh how I wish it was snowing right now!

I loved it when it snowed last year! Oh again, how I wish it where snowing right now!

I know my sweet dogs are ready for cooler weather too. I've been going out and soaking them with cool water during the day. They have never let me spray them with the water before, but now their loving it!

Praying that we get some cooler weather and rain soon!

Country Church Wedding

I love weddings so thought I would share some photo's I took at my niece's wedding last weekend! When we turned into the driveway of the church my heart skipped a beat...... why you asked, well it's because I absolutely love the look of the older churches. This was such a sweet, well taken care of little church in the country. When we go on trips I'm always taking pictures of old churches..... and another love of mine is old barns. I would love to make one my home, but don't think hubby would go for it! Well I went to a wedding last week, but plan on staying home to watch I love Lucy marathon this weekend. It's my favorite thing to watch, you could say that I'm obsession with the show. I have it recorded and watch it most every night... can't go to sleep until I see an episode or 2, or 3 or 4. I don't get to watch much TV anymore except at night when I should be sleeping. I stay to busy for that, so I think it will be a nice change. I've been working on new items for my website this week, and do need a break. What will you be doing this weekend!

Thanks so much Karen @ http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com/ for hosting such a fun party, I just love seeing everyone's creative spaces. Welcome to my space...... I will be showing a lot of the pictures from last years party as things haven't changed much here in the last year!

I love creating here, my studio is very spacious..... it has 3 separate rooms off of the main room and they work great for keeping all of my fabrics and trims!

I always love being able to display the things that I love in my studio, it keeps me inspired.

I wished I could say that my material stays folded up this neat and orderly all the time, but that's not the case. Sometimes it looks like a tornado came through.

Not very attractive but it gets the job done!

I hang my trims over folding screens so they stay looking nice!

This old dress form comes in handy for holding vintage brooches that I use on my purses and pillows.
The wardrobe here holds a lot of my smalls. I love being able to keep them tucked away out of site! Girls Day Out

We had such a fun day this past Saturday..... I picked up my little granddaughter and we headed out to Canton, not to shop outside, as it's been way too hot to be outdoors. Our first stop was at Winnie & Tululas Antique Shop and Tea room! We shopped for a while and found some cool treasures and then had a wonderful lunch in the tea room! I'm trying to train her early so that she can find some cool treasures when she gets a little older..... my husband tell me that I'm making a big mistake, wonder why he would say that? Could be that I have a 2200. sq building full of treasures myself that drives him crazy!

I love this booth with it's exposed brick is such a wonderful backdrop.... it's just gorgeous!!!

This booth was just full of jewelry, and jewelry is one of Amberly's favorite things as you can tell in the next picture!
You can tell by the smile on her face that she a happy girl after finding all of this bling & sparkles!!!

She found a piece she didn't want to part with.
But it was just a tad to big for such a little girl, lucky she gave it up gracefully!!!

Oh how I love this headboard!!!

This was our stop at Laurie Annas Vintage Home. I only have a few picture as I already showed the rest of the pictures of her store in a previous post!
We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone at Laurie's. Amberly found more jewelry there so she was a happy camper once again. When we returned home hubby took us out to eat at Red Loster. After having a 14 month old for about 12 hours straight and in and out of the heat i was worn out, not only for a day but for the rest of the week. I'm just now feeling like I'm going to make it, but was worth it to make beautiful memories with my sweet little grandbaby. I wished it didn't get so hot here in Texas, makes the summers almost unberable! Hope your staying cool and enjoying your weekend! I'm off to go car shopping now!

This beautiful pink and white collar I purchased from Amanda @ http://onegirlinpink.blogspot.com/..... she has a gorgeous blog and she is so sweet, she had posted about this collar on her blog and when I saw it I fell in love with it, contacted her to see if it was for sale, she said she had thought about using it in a display, but she was so sweet to go ahead and sell it to me.... it arrived quickly and she stayed in contact with me to make sure I got it! When I opened my package not only did she send me the collar, but inside was a beautiful embroderie linen with a cute little note pad..... with pink paper cut up inside the box..... soooooo cute!!! Thanks Amanda I love it!!!

Girls Day Out & A Home Tour!!!

Laurie and I had so much fun at the Lone Star Antique Mall last month that we decided to go again. We have planned to try and pick at least one place a month to go shopping and just have a fun day! Well this trip was even more fun than the last trip..... we got to visit with several of the vendors and the owner of the mall again, their all so very sweet.... and Dorothy from The Shabby Y is back, so we had the pleasure of visiting with her also... and had a delishious lunch in their tea room with Denis, be sure to go over and check out Denis's wonderful blog @ http://rubygraces.blogspot.com/

Acutully this post is of Denis's beautiful home that he so sweetly let us take ton's of pictures of. I'll be showing some pictures of the mall a little later!

Denis has a beautiful view of the swimming pool and all of his gorgeous landscaping from his bedroom window!

Denis love's to display art in his home..... This is just one of the many pieces that we saw! When asked what his decorating style was, he replied he just decorates with the things that he loves! I also noticed him saying that some of the pieces he displays where from his grandmother!

Denis uses splashes of red throughout his kitchen!

This was a fun room.... this is the room that he has alot of the treasures that he will be taking to the mall. Talk about being organized he is, has everything written down and know's all about it!

Not only did we get to shop in this room, but in his garage as well.... Oh what fun!!

I just found this pair of shoes yesterday when my friend Laurie and I went to Ft Worth to the Lone Star Antique Mall. I purchases these shoes from the sweetest lady, her name is Felicia from Bountiful.... if your ever close by be sure to go by thay have a wondeful Mall. I will be posting about our trip a little later!

This is the back of the dress, some of the backs are more beautiful than the fronts are!

This is a small bag that I designed just so I would have it to take to weddings and such.... and I will get to use it next month as my niece will be getting married.

Time for Canton that is...... I've been really busy lately trying to get things ready to take to http://laurieannas.com/, usually I take purses and pillows, well I'm so excited that Laurie will also be carrying my romantic apparel in her shop as well. We will still be selling it on our website, just extending it to the store too!Were currently sold out of our apparel on our website...... but will be getting more in soon! I can't wait to show them to you!

I really need help in the picture taking department sometimes. Thinking about maybe getting a better camera, hopefully that will help!

Happy Memorial Day!

God bless America, our troops, and their family's...... please remember all the Men and Women who serve our Country so that we can still have our freedoms.

We had a wonderful day with friends, was able to set out and visit with one another, watch the Memorial Day parade that our little town has every year, and have wonderful food.... and this is something that we don't think to much about, but if it wasn't for the Men and Women who fight for our Country these things would not be possible. So I want to thank each and every one of them!

This home belongs to some friends of ours.... and I'm just in love with it, I've toured the inside before, but got to go through it again today, it's just gorgeous!!!

Vintage Treasures

Thought I would share a few things I have collected over the years. These will be random things..... as I have a love for so many different vintage pieces, especially if their feminine!

This is my all time favorite cup and saucer... I love the beautiful lady and the colors are so pretty!!!

Always love picking up old vintage books with the pretty covers! Their so fun to decorate with!!!

Can't hardly pass up on the clocks... one day I need to group all of my clocks together. I just have them randomly placed around the house! I've thought about grouping them and puttin them on my mantle.... I think it makes more of a impact when you group a big collection together!

Love these shabby chic religous bookends!

I have collected many alabaster pieces over the years, it's also another favorite thing that I love to collect! Would love to hear about the things that you collect..... Hope everyone is having a beautiful Sunday afternoon!!!

I hope to have these vest added to our online boutique this week if time allows.... I've been really busy lately, so if I don't get them up this week, hopefully the first part of next week! We will also be adding a lot of new clothing items to our romantic apparel page soon, I can't hardly wait!!! On another note..... I've been having major problems with blogger this week, it gets so frustrating, thanks to my hubby for finally getting it up and running again.... hopefully it will stay up for a while! New Items to Share & a Girls Day Out!

Thought I would share a few of the things we've been working on lately.... some we will add to our online boutique and some I will be taking to Laurie Anna's Vintage Home during the next Canton Show!

I love using these beaded collars around the flaps of my purses when I find them.... they work perfect for that, and add such a great vintage touch!!!

I bought burlap rolls at Laurie's shop last month, just the regular color burlap and the white.... these small strips worked perfect to go down the middle of this bag, I just love the look of it! Oh and I almost forgot I also bought the buttons that are on this purse at Laurie Anna's Vintage Home too, it all gives this purse such a fun look!

On a total different note, I took the day off yesterday to spend with these 2 little monkeys, and my dear friend Margaret.... we took our little granddaughters to the zoo, I've been wanting to take Amberly, she's never been and I wanted to take her before it got to hot..... well I think I waited to late, boy was it HOT! It was very humid yesterday, but it's only going to get hotter so I was glad that we went a head and took them. We had a lot of fun!

No it's not real, it kinda looks like it is though!

Amberly looks really enthused over her shoe! It doesn't take much to keep a baby occupied!

Hico Antique Show

My sweet friend Lynda and I went to Hico. yesterday where Homestead was having their Spring Antique Show! We had a great time... the weather was nice and there was so many goodies to look at! This building is the Homestead Antique store!

We also spent quite a bit of time here in the Antique store, so many gorgeous things to look at! Then we had lunch, and then more shopping, followed by a big piece of pie, and then we were on our way home!
This is the tent where a lot of the dealers set up at.... they have also expanded the shop to the left of the tent also!
I wanted to show you some of the beautiful booths we got to treasure hunt in! This is Cathy and Dedria of Girls Gone Junkin. I know a lot of you already know them.... 2 very sweet ladies!
They always have a beautiful booth with so much eye candy to behold.

This booth belongs to Denis, and what a super nice guy he is. I took quite a few pics but only 2 of them turned out! Denis also has booths at Lone Star Antique Mall in Fort Worth, Tx. I did a post with pics of his booth recently.... if you missed seeing them just scroll down a few post to check it out!

This belongs to the owner of the Lone Star Antique Mall.... I also took quite a few pics of her booth too, but only this one turned out, so sorry! I also feel really bad because I have forgotten her name, if anyone knows it I would love to add it to my post! She was a super sweet, sweet lady, so glad I had the privilege of getting to meet her and Denis! I have to say I have met the sweetest people in this business!
The next pictures belong to Lisa from DIGS! Lisa had a gorgeous garden booth.... she also has a booth at Winnie & Tulula's, if your ever in the area be sure to check her booth out!!!

Ok, this last booth belongs to Lilly and Maggie..... Lilly from the Junk Palace, and Maggie from The Veranda.... they also have booths at Canton Trade Day, if your ever in the area be sure to stop by and see these 2 gals, they always have the best treasures!

Ruffles and a few things to add to our website!

Has anyone else been having fits over blogger being down all day yesterday and most of today.... well I certainly have, I didn't know how addicted to blogging I was until I couldn't use it when I wanted to! I know some have lost their previous post, I lost some of the comments on my last post, but so glad it's all working again! Just wanted to share a few new items we will be adding to our website soon.... and a few of my recent ruffle finds! I'm thinking of a giveaway in the near future, think maybe it will be this ruffled pillow!

I just love these ruffled skirts..... I found this white and pink on a recent buying trip, believe I will have to add these to my personal collection! Oh I almost forgot, see the mantel in the background I found it at a sale recently too..... I'll be leaving it in my studio. I'm trying to get my studio cleaned up so I can have 2 really big sales a year in it, can you call it a BARN sale, even if it's in a metal building? I'm so lucky to have this building... it has rooms that I can put my materials in for working on my purses and pillows and then a open area to have sales from. I think I should take full advantage of this , and another thing that's great I have plenty of parking!!!

Girls Day Out

I've been wanting to go to the Lone Star Antique Mall for quite a while now, so my friend Laurie and I made plans for a road trip..... it was well worth the wait, we had so much fun, found lots of goodies...... & had a wonderful lunch at their tea room.... and then more shopping! I wanted to share some pictures with you of some of the lovely things that were there!

A fun Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at Laurie Anna's this weekend... and I had the pleasure of meeting some new customers, and it's always fun to visit with the customers that are there just about every month.

This is the lovely Lauren she's one of the crew members at Laurie's, and just as sweet as she is beautiful. We had a photo shoot there this weekend and it was so much fun, thought I would show a sneek peek.... we will be post more a little later!

Here's a few of the pictures that I took of the store while I was there! A lot of my pictures didn't turn out this time, don't know what the problem was..... but I do have a clue, it was probable me!
These are 2 sweet ladies that are regular customers to the store, we get to visit Joan and Brenda often! Their so cute!!!

This is one of the purses that I took this weekend, I took more pictures of purses and pillows, but the pictures didn't turn out very good. I had a ball this weekend, after the show I went home with Laurie and her family and spent the night at their adorable cottage, we all stayed up ordered pizza, watched movie's, played around on the computer, had lots of laughs! It wasn't all playing on the computer though, Laurie has helped me a lot with setting up my business facebook page, and working on some problems with my blog... so a BIG THANK YOU LAURIE!

Just got a few new items in to add to our website! Still waiting for more, hopefully it will all be here soon!
