Where Bloggers Create

Thanks so much Karen @ http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com/ for hosting such a fun party, I just love seeing everyone's creative spaces. Welcome to my space...... I will be showing a lot of the pictures from last years party as things haven't changed much here in the last year!


I love creating here, my studio is very spacious..... it has 3 separate rooms off of the main room and they work great for keeping all of my fabrics and trims!



I always love being able to display the things that I love in my studio, it keeps me inspired.






I wished I could say that my material stays folded up this neat and orderly all the time, but that's not the case. Sometimes it looks like a tornado came through.



Not very attractive but it gets the job done!







This is one of the table's that I work on purses at!
I hang my trims over folding screens so they stay looking nice!





Just more pretties to look at!
This old dress form comes in handy for holding vintage brooches that I use on my purses and pillows.
The wardrobe here holds a lot of my smalls. I love being able to keep them tucked away out of site! I've wanted to paint this wardrobe white for years now and just haven't gotten around to it, maybe one of these days! Hope you enjoyed the tour of my creative space.     I love the way you display your fabrics, vintage dresses and laces.
    It inspires me to get my things out and display them so I can see and use them better. I have so many things tucked away in boxes that I forget what I've actually got. Thank you for sharing.

    WOW, what an inspiring work place. No wonder you turn out so many fantastical creations! I love all of those vintage velvet fabrics ... they are swoon-worthy.

    I must share with you ... Yesterday, I was out all day shopping with my best friend. We both wore tanks with a lace jacket. Mine was the white lace top from you! We had soooooooooooooooooooo many complements on our outfits. I gave your shop's blog address to four very intrigued souls. I do hope they visit you soon! :))

    Hi Daphne,

    I want to come "pet" everything in your studio. {tee hee} I love how you hung those lace panels behind the chairs. And where did you find those mannequins. Oh my, they look so realistic...just fabulous...and your purses and pillows are definitely fit for a Queen.

    I know what you mean about fabric scattered everywhere...honestly, to take my photos I had to slide some big totes of fabric out of the way. I have my big fabric room on the lower level and a smaller room off my studio upstairs...so I'm continuously bringing more fabric up here.

    Anyhow, your studio is fabulous and I love that you have three sizable rooms together. I'd love to have you visit with me when you have a moment!

    DId you hear that "thunk" that was my jaw hitting the floor. Oh how I way to see your studio in person, are those lace curtains on the wall? There is lace everywhere, hello my blog name is Lilly's Lace and I think I need all that lace!!!! I have bought one of your purses so I am not surprised how wonderful your space is.     Your bags are such a visual feast for the eye, Daphne, they make for such a great display. I keep mine on open display in my large walk-in closet. The pillows are just wonderful, too. Love your fabric stash! I see what looks like some great pieces waiting to be transformed. I start out very neat with my bits of fabric, but it's a real mess if I go looking for something!

    TDF!!! I think your studio is as big as my whole house! *winks* I'm overwhelmed with all the eye candy! Please tell me is your studio in your house? Or seperate from it? And how did you come to find and create it? Because this is totally above and beyond and has to have been in magazines!...I'm an unsightly shade of puce green *winks* Oh and I really like the current color of your armoire....Which is funny because I've always wanted to paint the one white in my guest room too...but the color of yours does make it stand out, and it's a wonderful feature!     Hi Vanna, my studio is not in my house. I found this building about 2 miles from where I live, called about it, but figured it would be really high rent but not the case, it was very reasonable. I feel very blessed to have such a spacious work area. It hasn't been in any magazines either, but I do have big plans of making it look a lot nicer and maybe even having 2 large sales from it each year.     Your studio is amazing!! So spacious and everything so beautiful. Great fabric and trimmings and projects!! One photo really caught my eye, tho, the one of the sewing machine with the strip of fabric wrapped around the machine head to stick straight pins in... it is exactly what Mammaw did on her machine!!! Made me smile to remember as she has been gone 11 years now.
